A year in the life of Northside Cottages and Equestrian
We've had a busy year from March 2024 when we welcomed our first guests to the newly renovated Vale Cottage. From painting and decorating to bigger scale building projects we strive to continue to make the cottages and farm a great place to visit.

March 2024
After selecting holidaycottages.co.uk as our booking agent, we were delighted to welcome our first guests to the newly rennovated cottages on the 27th March.

April 2024
The addition of the firepit meant guests could make those holiday days last a little bit longer!

May 2024
Favourable weather meant we had lots of opportunities to add our decking, hot tub and geodome to Vale Cottage - a fabulous addition to make sure guests can enjoy the hot tub in all weathers.

June 2024
School leaving time meant the farm was used as a stunning backdrop for prom photos.

July 2024
We LOVED our family trip to Kynren - An Epic Tale of England! Definitely worth booking - it was fabulous!

August 2024
A busy month for horses with pony club camps, coaching and competitions taking up much of our time.

September 2024
A nice sunny month with lots of long walks and horse back exploring from the farm while our team were busy renewing and refreshing the fencing around the farm and cottages.

October 2024
Excitement hits as we spend a chilly evening outdoors being treated to fabulous display from the Northern Lights right on the doorstep!

November 2024
Although the skies near the cottage are quiet and calm in fireworks season we enjoyed a fabulous trip to the nearby Kynren for bonfire night - highly recommended!

December 2024
Exciting times as we invited guests to both fully decorated cottages over Christmas and New Year!

January 2025
Storm Eowyn caused considerable damage to our outdoor areas including the hot tub dome, luckily our repair team were on hand and and they quickly sorted out the problems meaning no guests missed out on their stay.

February 2025
The new fire and fireplace were installed at Daffodil adding to its cosy cottage feel.

March 2025
Happy birthday to us! We opened our doors to our first guests on the 27th March 2024. We are over the moon to have welcomed 350 guests in our first year, including 62 dogs!

April 2025
As part of our continued expansion and improvements we added a hot tub to the enclosed patio at Daffodil Cottage.
Our plan was to add another element of luxury and relaxation to holidays at the cottage, helping you to make the most of your time with us.

May 2025
We welcomed our first 'bring your horse on holiday' customers this month. The horses enjoyed their time in the paddock while their owners had fun in the hot tub and local pub and then enjoyed a couple of lovely hacks and lessons. We can't wait to welcome more horses and their lovely owners.

June 2025
Guests enjoyed celebrating the gorgeous warm weather with a few evenings round the firepit. Vale Cottage was treated to a new BBQ to help visitors make the most of the lovely sunshine and we had some great family gatherings making the most of the great entertaining space.

July 2025
Watch this space!

Looking forward to hearing from you
