VIBRANT - DYNAMIC - FUN - SOCIABLE
What is it?
A fabulously fun, group riding activity where teams of riders learn, practise and perform choreographed routines to well known songs and tunes. Think dressage meets dancefloor - no pressure, just pure pony powered fun!
Who is it for?
It is perfect for riders of all levels and ages, horse lovers who love a boogie and anyone who thinks schooling should come with a soundtrack! Whether you've got two left feet, or serious Saturday night fever vibes! It's all about teamwork, laughter and rhythm in the reins.
Why ride to music in groups?
Riding your horse to music in groups is great for your relaxation and state of mind, but it isn't just about having a giggle - it's also a fantastic way to practise and refine your position and aids and develop the Scales of Training.
What do I need?
Just bring you and your horse or pony. No special tack or equipment needed. Fancy dress looks great (but isn't essential). who doesn't love riding in a tutu?!
How will it help my horse?
Rhythm (music helps to keep a steady beat) - Suppleness (having fun reduces tension) - Contact (group patterns and timing help with light, elastic and consistent reins) - Impulsion (feel energised and motivated working to upbeat music) - Straightness (group formations help to improve precision)
Ready to book a session?
Sessions run regularly at Northside, Ivesley Equestrian Centre and Houghall. You are always welcome to join an organised session. Come alone, come with a friend or even get in touch to arrange your own session at a venue of your choice! You can even choose your own theme!
